This is my BTEC Solo First Take it is still rough at the moment it is Choreographed by ME and the initial idea came from Jiri Kylian's work Falling Angles i had to take a theme from his work and make it my own so i looked at his use of lighting a took from it a small lighting box on the floor that restricted the dancers so i took restriction and restriction in a Prison Cell.
I got really inspired when I started this piece as it had an edge and edge is something I do best the rope was a really good prop to work with it gives you freedom to move your body when needed but gave a restriction to my dance when needed too, so it was very flexible. I really enjoyed working with rope as it adds some character to the piece.
